When you travel in this SolAire Expandable, you will be traveling in style. This unit provides ample sleeping space with the ability to sleep seven comfortably. In the kitchen, you will find a three-burner cooktop which is perfect for creating those family-style dinners you are used to enjoying at home. This trailer includes a fully walkable roof which is a wonderful feature for those times that you need to get on top of the trailer to clean the entire unit. After a long day on the road, you can spend your evening relaxing and star gazing outdoors before you head inside to sleep in one of the two queen tent end beds.
Palomino has equipped the SolAire Expandable with several indulgent amenities. The skylight in the kitchen will keep the trailer feeling open and bright as you go about your day, and if that doesn't bring in enough sunshine, you can simply switch on the LED lights throughout the trailer for an extra boost of light. The USB charging station makes it possible for you to keep your modern electronics full of battery life, even in the great outdoors. These models feature a power tongue jack which allows you to set up camp easily and quickly so that you can enjoy the great outdoors with your family.
We had a great experience working the salesperson Red. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't have what we were looking for; however, he had the 2018 Highlander 5th Wheel Toy Hauler coming in soon. He worked with the factory to get pictures and info for us. As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
